The Community Performance Project
Bringing elite sports science and athlete development to local Dunedin/Southland teams.
Service Description
Elite Science. Local Heart. Better Performance for Every Athlete. At the core of our brand is the belief that world-class sports science shouldn't be reserved solely for professional athletes. We are committed to taking clinical expertise and technology out of the clinic and into the schools, clubs, and events that make our community thrive. We collaborate with local organisations to provide clear, data-driven support that empowers people of all ages to move, recover, and perform at their best. Our Community Initiatives Free Event Support & Expert Advice: We love being at the heart of the action. Whether it’s a marathon, a triathlon, or a community open day, we offer free sports nutrition advice to help participants cross the finish line feeling strong. Free Metabolic Testing: For community health days or races, we provide free on-site testing (such as blood sugar/glucose checks). These quick tests give you immediate, fascinating insights into how your body actually fuels itself for endurance. School & Team Workshops: We run free education sessions for local schools and sports teams. These workshops take complex science and turn it into simple, practical habits that student-athletes, coaches, and parents can start using the very same day. Interactive Pop-Up Stations: You’ll find us at tournaments and galas providing "Science in Sport" demonstrations. These stations bring an engaging, high-tech presence to your event and give locals the chance to ask burning questions about their health. Team Performance Audits: We provide local clubs and representative teams the opportunity to access professional-grade body composition data at a special community rate. By booking a dedicated "Team Audit," your entire squad gets a clear, data-driven baseline for the season ahead. A Tailored Approach Every group is different. Whether you are a teacher looking for a classroom workshop, a coach needing a team audit, or an event organiser wanting to add a professional edge to your next race, we can tailor our support to suit your goals. Let’s Work Together If you are a coach, teacher, or event organiser interested in a community partnership, we would love to hear from you. To make sure we provide the best support for your group, we’ll start with a 50-minute strategy meeting to discuss your goals and how we can best collaborate. Contact us directly today to explore how we can support your next team event or school programme!
