2026 INVERCARGILL SPORTS NUTRITION COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS Let’s be honest... sports nutrition and eating for health can be ridiculously over-complicated, and the online noise can make it impossible to know where to start. That confusion ends here. This year, we've partnered with the Invercargill Public Library this year to deliver specialist, evidence-based nutrition, designed to be affordable and accessible to everyone in our community. Every session is guaranteed to teach you something new, regardless of your age, goals, or current training status! STRUCTURE: - 45 Mins: Topic presentation from a registered performance specialist (includes pop quiz - with prizes!) - 15 Mins: Group Q & A - 30 Mins: 1:1 Q&A - opportunity to get your specific questions answered WHEN: The First Sunday of Every Second Month at 2:00 PM (attendance can be booked in advance) WHERE: Invercargill Public Library (Specific room details provided upon registration). The modest fee of $20 is designed solely to cover venue costs. Our mission is to keep these workshops financially accessible; therefore, a koha donation is welcome for those who email us directly to arrange. 2026 SCHEDULE: 1st February Sports Supplements: Bin It or Buy It. Your Guide to What Works and What's a Waste of Time for Performance, Health, and Your Wallet. 5th April The Female Body Advantage: Master Your Hormones, Fuel, Inflammation, Fatigue and Fitness at Any Age. 7th June Young Athletes: The Essential Nutritional Foundations for Growth, Recovery, and Injury Prevention. Building lifelong athletic health and development without compromising performance or health. 2nd August Building Muscle: The Science of Hypertrophy—Fuelling Your Body for Lean Mass and Strength. Maximise your strength and lean muscle development efficiently and correctly at all ages. 4th October Weight Loss & Composition: Evidence-Based Strategies for Optimising Metabolism and Shedding Body Fat Without Sacrificing Performance or Health. 6th December Decreasing Injury Risk: Nutritional Strategies to Accelerate Healing, Regulate Inflammation, and Strengthen Connective Tissue.
